An Investment With 100 Percent Returns

An Investment With 100 Percent ReturnsWritten By Dr. Daniel Kimbley

Growing up I used to think that if someone was an investor, then they put their money into the stock market and watched it grow. I watched my grandfather and uncle invest in the market, sock money away in retirement accounts, and make what appeared to be TONS of money. It wasn't until I started getting some mentors for myself that I realized how flawed my thinking about investments were.

I used to think investing meant putting money into something to make more money. While this is true in some regards, I'm going to have you consider that there are multiple types of investments that are more important than investing in the stock market.

Obviously, one investment we can make is a monetary investment. I'd like you to consider that relationships are one form of investment that are more important than monetary investments. Relationships are important for a variety of reasons, but most importantly because they can't be taken from us. I could lose every penny of money I have, and I could lose all of my assets-and if I did, the relationships I have with the people around me would maintain. One of my mentors, Garrett, once told me that "you are only one relationship away from your next big break through".

On so many levels he was right, having rock-solid relationships is important for health, happiness, and longevity. Over a 10-year study, Harvard researchers found "People who are more socially connected to family, friends, and community are happier, healthier, and live longer than people who are less well connected," 1. It is clear that having a foundation of healthy relationships is a critical component to living a healthy lifestyle.

However, the most simple, important, and foundational investment you can make is in yourself by learning new knowledge and new skills. Even if all of our assets, money, and relationships are taken away, we are always left with the skills and knowledge we have attained over a lifetime. Investing in yourself seems easy enough. Read books, go to workshops to learn new things, watch informational YouTube videos, begin a new hobby-the list could go on and on.

You, yourself, are your most important asset; your health is a critical component to investing in yourself. Think about it, if you were in perfect health, how many fewer sick days would you have? How much more focused and productive could you be at work? How much more energy would you have to expend on your children or family after a long, stressful day at work? What about having the commitment and willpower to diet and exercise rather than feeling too overwhelmed to focus on it all?

What would life look like if you never had a health crisis-but rather aged in style? How much money could you save in the long-term? How much better off would your family be if you never needed a care-taker, medications, or a nursing home as you aged?

I asked myself these same questions and the answer became obvious. For me, never getting sick, and being able to enjoy everything I want to do in life has been a reality for myself and so many of our clients. I'm certain that the same will be true for you.

If you're looking to perform at the top of your game for the long haul, then taking care of the master control system of your body-your central nervous system-is of utmost importance. Without a nervous system, life is not possible. With interference to our nervous systems, health is not possible. With a healthy nervous system, health is our body's natural state. Having a healthy nervous system will allow you to have better relationships, be clearer, more focused, and more productive in all aspects of life.

Investing in your health is as simple as having your nervous system checked and making chiropractic care the core of your healthy lifestyle. Ensuring an optimally functioning nervous system through every phase of life is a sure investment to keep you doing the things you love to do for a lifetime.

Investing in yourself, in your health, and in your nervous system is the smartest investment you could ever make. You have 100% control over your return on investment. The decisions you make today will directly impact the future for you and your family members.
